ENEPAQ team recently visited Battery & Energy Storage Tech Europe in Barcelona, bringing together companies and professionals across the industrial battery technology and energy-storage ecosystem.
Battery & Energy Storage Tech Europe 2026: Our Key Takeaways
For us, the most interesting part was seeing how many different applications are pushing battery technology forward — and how important it is to have solutions that are not only powerful, but also safe, modular, scalable and adaptable to real-world requirements. That is exactly where ENEPAQ fits in.
From battery modules and TinyBMS solutions to complete battery packs and custom energy-storage systems, we focus on making battery integration simpler and more reliable for engineers and product developers.
We work at the point where battery technology meets real-world engineering requirements. Our battery modules provide a modular foundation for building scalable packs, while our BMS solutions enable monitoring, protection and control. When an off-the-shelf solution is not enough, we work with customers to develop complete battery packs tailored to their application.
This allows us to support different stages of the battery ecosystem — from engineers developing a new product to system integrators looking for a reliable battery platform.
Our visit to Battery & Energy Storage Tech Europe reinforced an important point: the future of batteries is not only about what happens inside the cell. It is also about how effectively that technology can be integrated into the systems and products that use it.
That is the space ENEPAQ works in — helping turn battery technology into practical, scalable and reliable energy solutions.
The highlights of the exhibition were captured there.
The whole exhibition agenda repeatedly came back to five connected challenges:
– Scale & competitiveness — Europe wants stronger domestic battery manufacturing, supply chains and industrial capacity;
– Better technology — new chemistries such as sodium-ion, advances in electrochemistry, dry-electrode manufacturing and new storage technologies are being explored;
– Safety & reliability — testing, thermal runaway prevention, environmental testing and reliable BMS are becoming increasingly important as battery systems become more powerful and diverse;
– Real-world applications — batteries are expanding beyond EVs into BESS, industrial applications, data centres, rail, space and other demanding environments;
– Lifecycle & sustainability — Battery Passports, traceability, recycling, critical-material recovery and second-life applications show that the industry is thinking about the battery’s whole lifecycle, not just its first use.
